Are your colored pencils lightfast?

We currently do not have lightfast ratings for our Grizaye Velvet Touch colored pencils and make no claims. However, we believe they offer quality comparable to other pencils at a similar price point. To preserve your artwork, we recommend avoiding prolonged exposure to sunlight and using a UV-protective spray if lightfastness is a concern.

Can watercolor or solvents be used with your kits?

No, water will dissolve the ink on the underpainting. However, Odorless Mineral Spirits (OMS) work well on the Grizaye sheets included in our kits and will not activate the ink. We recommend testing a small area first, as results may vary across brands. Gamblin OMS works great, but we advise avoiding Holbein Meltz.

How can I return an item purchased from Grizaye Art?
